Getting Started With Minerva - October
This course is designed to prepare you for building resources in your Minerva modules. This session is an overview of the core functionality, focusing on how to add key content types. There is some prework required.
Content and format
The session will be a mixture of presentations and demonstrations with plenty of opportunities for questions.
The session will cover:
- Layout of Minerva modules
- The Minerva module template
- Key methods for adding/editing content
Suitability
Staff and PGRs who are new to Minerva and need to use it to deliver or support learning and teaching.
Course Outcomes
After the session, participants should:
- Have a broad understanding of the key functionality of Minerva
- Understand the Minerva module template
- Know where support resources are to assist them following the session
- Know who to ask if they need further help following the session
Preparatory work
Attendees need to self enrol on the Getting Started with Minerva introductory organisation prior to attendance, and will be asked to review the Minerva Basics and Navigating Minerva – outside of a module sections to prepare for the session (time required 15-20 minutes). Instructions on how to do this will be sent in the Outlook invitation.
