What does light blue shading on a Learning Journey Map mean?

Light blue shading covering part of a student's Learning Journey Map indicates a period of Exemption has been applied.

Exemptions are used to prevent students from triggering Notifications during a specified period of time, for example, if a student is expected to have zero interaction with digital education systems due to an authorised absence, an Exemption applied across these dates would prevent the student from triggering a No Digital Engagement Notification.

Exemptions can be applied for a variety of reasons such when a student is not actively studying because they are on Practice Placement or for other authorised absence requests. Exemptions are managed by SES colleagues involved in supporting digital engagement monitoring. Please contact your school's Student Education Service team regarding any questions you have relating to Exemptions in StREAM@Leeds.
