Top Hat is the University’s institutional mobile voting solution. The tool has two distinct uses: active learning and assessment delivery. It is accessed through a web browser or iOS/Android app and is compatible with screen readers.
Quality Assurance have advised that all external examiners must have a Leeds IT account created before they can be given access to submissions and any other University systems (e.g. Minerva).
See, Leeds IT account for external examiners for more information.
Please ensure your external examiners have a University IT account before you submit a request for Top Hat external examiner access (via the IT Service Desk).
We’ve included guides here that are specific to Leeds along with direct links to some of Top Hat’s more commonly used guides. If you can’t find the answer you are looking for on this site, Top Hat’s support website has help and guidance on all of Top Hat’s functionality. Go to Top Hat’s support website.
