Throughout your studies you will use a number of Digital Education Systems for a wide variety of teaching and learning activities. Please take a look at the Student Guides section of this website – it contains guides on the systems used at the University, many of these guides contain videos to help you get started quickly.

The Student IT Induction introduces new students to IT at the University of Leeds. It covers IT Essentials such as your username, password and security, as well as Useful Services like wireless, printing and computing on and off campus. There’s information on University Systems such as Minerva, the Library and email as well as advice on Getting Help.

The Library has produced resources to help you whether your course is completely online or you have a mix of online and face-to-face teaching. Their online learning resources will help you make the most of your study and contact time to become an effective online learner.

It is essential that you can distinguish between other people’s work and your own, and correctly acknowledge other people’s work. This tutorial and test is designed to show you how to avoid plagiarism and instil good practice for your time here at Leeds. All taught students new to Leeds from the 2021/22 academic year onwards should complete the tutorial and pass the test.
