As reported in December, there is currently an issue with the recording tool in Minerva. We have received reports of this not working correctly, specifically when adding recordings to feedback for Blackboard Assignments.
The January update introduces changes to how Minerva modules are made available to students. There are also changes to Gradebook, the AI Design Assistant and Conditional Release.
On Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, a global issue impacted access to third-party integrated tools within Minerva. Staff and students may have experienced difficulties accessing these tools between 07:26 AM and 11:00 AM GMT.

The December update introduces an improvement to Learning Module navigation, new discussion posts and late assignment submissions are now easier to identify. There is also a fix to an accessibility issue with images in Minerva Documents.
The November update introduces an improvement to the file submission process for Blackboard Assignment. There are also some changes to the Print Tests functionality and a new option to download the Activity Log. The Minerva Document content item was also recently updated.
Due to continuing data issues with the platform, resulting in inaccurate information being presented to staff and students, the University has found it necessary to withdraw access to StREAM@Leeds with immediate effect.

An update on the issue identified yesterday with the University’s Lecture Capture system which may have resulted in the unintended disclosure of information.
The October update introduces a new option to have email notifications for followed Discussions. There are also updates to how leavers show in the Gradebook and AI options for Question Banks. Recently, a change to how module staff appear on the module content page has been made. A known issue with the Gradebook Overview is also resolved.
As previously shared in February 2024, following a review of our current online assessment systems, Top Hat is no longer available for staff or students to use.
Our supplier has reported that Turnitin experienced a service degradation on which may have affected some users accessing Turnitin between 21:00 BST 7 August to 17:15 BST 9 August.
Following two successful pilot years, Noteable will be renewed for 2024/25 on an enterprise licence, becoming a fixture in our digital education offering.
We're planning to upgrade Mediasite, the University’s video platform, this will make it easier for colleagues to embed videos directly into Minerva Documents.
The July update introduces improvements to Announcements, Blackboard Assignments and Tests. An issue which prevented IDs displaying in the Gradebook has also been resolved.
