The root cause has now been resolved by our supplier so staff should no longer experience this issue.

Minerva will be unavailable on Monday, 20 July from 3:00am to 5:00am (BST) due to essential maintenance.

All modules due to run in 2026/27 have been created in Minerva and are now ready for population.

Some staff have reported that student submissions are not loading inline when accessing them via the grading interface.

Vevox has updated its user interface within the the set up dashboard. You will notice a different look and layout when you log in to create or share a session.

The June Minerva update brings two new features to Tests.

Our supplier reported that Turnitin was affected by a service issue which may have affected users accessing Turnitin between 01:00 and 02:38 BST on 4th June 2026.

Turnitin have resolved the outage and restored service.

Turnitin have reported an unexpected service incident. We are working with our vendor to investigate and resolve the issue.

The May Minerva update introduces changes to the module switcher, updates to Gradebook discussion due dates and group filters, and improved handling of group filters when grading. It also highlights inherited release conditions and removes hidden discussions from the Discussions tab.

Our supplier reported that Gradescope was affected by a service issue which may have affected some users accessing Gradescope between 17:20 and 18:05 BST on 29th April 2026.

The March update includes an option to specify the assignment type for Blackboard Assignment, some changes to how multiple choice/answer questions work in Blackboard Test and improvements to the flexible grading interface used for most Blackboard assessments. There is also the addition of 'substantive' and 'non- substantive' labels to posts when staff mark Discussions and an option to limit the number of messages a student can create when interacting with an AI Conversation. The Minerva recording tool also has an option to change playback speed and how images are handled in emailed Announcements is also improved.

Our supplier reported that Turnitin was affected by a service issue which may have affected some users accessing Turnitin between 04:00 and 06:11 BST on 1st April 2026.

Staff posting grades to Minerva from Gradescope are seeing an error message

There is an intermittent issue where grades are being posted to gradebook from Turnitin Feedback Studio before the feedback release dates.

Our supplier has reported that Turnitin is affected by a service degradation which may be affecting some users accessing Turnitin.

The March update includes the introduction of AI‑generated Knowledge Checks, updated participation requirements for discussions, improvements to Blackboard Test and the Recording tool.

Turnitin will undergo a four hour maintenance period from 16.00pm to 20:00 GMT on Saturday 7 March 2026.

Remote recorder connectivity has been restored and recordings are processing.

We have detected an issue with our remote recorders, meaning that some lecture capture recordings might not process.

An issue impacting the option to send Minerva Messages has now been resolved.

There is a known issue affecting students attempting to download their digital receipt on Turnitin.

The Athena platform will be updated on Thursday 19th February 2026 from 09:30 to 10:30 to deploy a supplier recommended change to the configuration.

Panopto noticed errors when users were attempting to access Panopto between 12:40 and 13:00.

Noteable is undergoing maintenance on Thursday 12 February 2026.

We recently experienced intermittent issues affecting Minerva data feeds, where on certain days, updates to staff and student accounts or enrolments may not be processed as expected. This issue has been resolved.

Noteable will undergo scheduled maintenance from 09:00 to 13:00 on Monday 2 March.

When writing a Minerva Message, the options to 'Send' and 'Send an mail copy to recipients' are pushed down the screen and cannot be selected as scrolling does not work.

In the February update there are updates to Minerva Document and the Banner image.

The source of the outage has been mitigated and the site is as available to users again.

Panopto are investigating an issue where users are unable to access the site. Users could be unable to access the site, nor edit and upload content.

We are aware of intermittent issues affecting some Minerva data feeds. On certain days, updates to staff and student accounts or enrolments may not be processed as expected.

The Buddycheck integration from Minerva will be updated on Tuesday 27 January 8.30-9.30. Buddycheck will be unavailable during this time frame.

Upcoming major upgrades to ATLAS admin workflows and the external assessor dashboard in PebblePad.

Planned maintenance of Turnitin will take place from 4.00pm to 10.00pm GMT on Saturday 7 February 2026.

In the January update, there are updates to navigation in Minerva, expanded options for True/False questions and some changes to multiple choice/answer question workflows. Large tests will also load more quickly.

The Turnitin ipad App has been retired. The iOS app was retired by Turnitin on 30th December 2025 and you will need to use Minerva to access Turnitin Feedback Studio on a desktop or laptop device.
