The RNIB Transcription Service Leeds works with the University to provide accessible transcriptions of academic material.

All transcription is tailored to individual requirements. In addition, their service has access to RNIB Bookshare, an online digital academic collection which secures files from publishers and other transcription suppliers.

The Transcription Service is available to students and members of staff at the University who have:

  • a visual impairment (blind or partially sighted)
  • a specific learning difficulty (such as dyslexia)
  • a neurodevelopmental disability (such as autism or ADHD)
  • a physical disability which affects use of printed materials

This service does not require DSA/Access to Work funding and early contact is to be encouraged as it can take time to produce transcription. See, Transcription Services on the For Students website for more information.
