Policy on Minerva Communications - Staff Guide

This guide is for staff in schools and services who use Minerva to communicate with groups of students for administrative and support purposes. It is not relevant to staff who use Minerva for teaching.

  1. Minerva announcements must support the academic, administrative or support functions of the University. Adverts for research volunteers, commercial bodies, individual student societies or special-interest groups will not normally be accepted.
  2. Announcements sent via Minerva should be of interest, or potentially so, to the majority of the cohort they are targeted at.
  3. Communications must be clear, concise and jargon-free.
  4. Schools and services who have organisations in Minerva are responsible for ensuring that communications using their organisations adhere to these policies.
  5. The Digital Education Systems Team reserve the right to refuse, amend or remove any communication at their discretion.
