Having trouble submitting my online assessment/test - what should I do and how can I get help?

Don’t delay—it may be impossible to investigate issues retrospectively. Report issues immediately.

If the deadline is close (within the next 48 hours), you should first contact your teaching school (for example, if you are taking a LUBS module, contact the Business School, if you are taking an ENGL module, contact the School of English, and so on) for further advice on what additional steps you might need to take. You can find email addresses for each school in the School contact list on the Student Education Service website.

You should then go to the IT website to create a ticket for technical help:

  1. Log in to the IT website
  2. Search for: Open an IT ticket. This will take you to a form which you will need to complete to request help. Make sure that you include:
    • screenshots of any error messages (guidance on how to create screenshots is provided below)
    • explain what happened/what you clicked when the error occurred
    • the date, time and your location at the time the error occurred
    • the browser you are using
    • the module code and assignment name
    • a contact number for you
    • if you are in an IT cluster, make a note of the PC number

If your School subsequently needs further information or advice on your submission, they will need to create a support ticket via the IT website to request the information they need.
