Create a ThingLink account
1. To create a University of Leeds ThingLink account, start by going to the ThingLink Azure login page.
If you have had a different University of Leeds account in the past, you may be asked to pick the University of Leeds account you wish to use with ThingLink, chose your current account from the list displayed on screen.
2. You will then be taken to the ThingLink login page, the name and email field should be prepopulated with your details, check these are correct and click Continue.
3. The next page will ask you what you will be using ThingLink for.
- If you are a member of staff, please select Education/School and click Continue.
- If you are a student, please select Student and click Continue.
4. The next page will build your profile:
- leave your name as it is
- in the subject field, select Other
- decide if you want to subscribe to the newsletter
- click Continue
5. Your account should now have been created. You will be shown the create content page, which contains options to start creating interactive content. If you close this pop-up window by clicking the close button in the top right you'll be take to the Information page where you can find introductory tutorials and step by step guides to get started.
You can return to the create content page easily by clicking the Media option from the side menu and selecting Create.
You can check your account has been created successfully within the University of Leeds licence by clicking your initials from the top right of the ThingLink page to display your profile. Under your name, it should say University of Leeds. Plan: School Licence.
