Changing your Athena Password- Learner Guide

Athena uses a token authentication to login. After you have created your account you do not need to remember your password to access your course.

You will still be able to reset your password by following the steps below:

Navigate to the Athena login page at Athena.leeds.ac.uk

1. Click Learner Access and sign-in to Athena

2. Open your course from the dashboard

3. Close the overlay window.

4. Select your name from the menu

5.Select change password

Passwords must be a minimum of 12 characters with at least one lower case, one upper case, one number and one special character.

If you have forgotten your user name i.e. the email address you registered your Athena account with, please contact your course.

Note: If you experience issues with resetting your password, please see our guide on Troubleshooting Athena.  You can also try resetting your password from a laptop or desktop PC.
