Hard Refresh on a Browser
It is sometimes necessary to do a hard refresh on your browser, which clears the cache (memory) for a particular page. For example, if you can't see the Microsoft Education link in a module, then this might help. Choose your browser from the list below for full instructions.
Chrome on Mac
- Navigate to the page that you are having problems with.
- Either:
- Hold down Shift and click the Reload button.
- Or hold down Command, Shift and click the ‘R’ key.
- The page should refresh fully.
Chrome on Windows
- Navigate to the page that you are having problems with.
- Either:
- Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
- Or hold down Ctrl and press F5.
- The page should refresh fully.
Edge
- Navigate to the page that you are having problems with.
- Either:
- Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
- Or hold down Ctrl and press F5.
- The page should refresh fully.
Firefox on Mac
- Navigate to the page that you are having problems with.
- Either:
- Hold down Command, Shift and the ‘R’ key.
- Or hold down Shift and press the Reload button.
- The page should refresh fully.
Firefox on Windows

- Navigate to the page that you are having problems with
- Hold down the option and command key then press the ‘E’ key.
- The page should refresh fully.
