Noteable Available for 2024/25 Academic Year
Following two successful pilot years, almost 2000 users across the University have adopted Noteable as part of their working practices. We are pleased to announce that the Noteable service will continue with expanded access for the 2024/25 academic year, with a view to this platform becoming a fixture in the University's digital education offering.
Noteable will be renewed for 2024/25 on an enterprise licence allowing unlimited staff and student accounts and 1000 concurrent users. With this expanded provision we’ll be able to support the increasing interest in the service so cloud-based computational notebooks can be embedded within more programmes.
A business case for the permanent provision of the Noteable service will be developed for 2025/26.
What is Noteable?
Noteable is a cloud-based computational notebook service based on Project Jupyter, which works in your browser and provides a way of working with Python and R programming languages, with broad applications across disciplines, from Business and Geoscience to Statistics, Machine Learning, Coding and Data Science.
Notable integrates with Minerva and is provided and supported by EDINA at the University of Edinburgh. You can find out more about the service at the Noteable Edina website.
