Support for staff delivering teaching using Live Streaming

Illustration depicting live streaming with students in person and students online.Around 90 teaching rooms will be equipped with live streaming capability across campus from September 2021. This website has guidance and FAQs to help staff using these rooms to deliver live streaming effectively.  

Staff can now book onto training sessions taking place on-campus on Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 September that will look at how to set up the equipment in the room and consider pedagogical strategies you may wish to use. The sessions are suitable for any member of staff who is scheduled to teach in one of these rooms from September.  

There are two types of training available as follows: 

Live Streaming: Technical and Pedagogical Support 15 Minutes Training 

This will cover how to set up the equipment in the room and connect to the Virtual Classroom of your choice. You will also have the opportunity to discuss the pedagogical aspects of Live Streaming. 

Live Streaming: Technical and Pedagogical Support 45 Minutes Training 

In addition to the content covered in the 15-minute training session, participants will connect with colleagues online in the Virtual Classroom of their choice. This will allow participants to consider how to adapt their teaching delivery to the live streaming format.
