Access Box of Broadcasts to enhance your learning and teaching experience
Did you know you can access Box of Broadcasts (BoB), an on-demand television and radio service specially designed for education?
Over 120 universities and colleges currently use BoB to enhance teaching and learning. It allows staff and students to access an archive of over 2.2 million TV and radio broadcasts, and you’ll also be able to record television and radio programmes from over 75 free-to-air channels.
Features include:
- A platform working across desktop, iOS and Android devices
- Access to over 75 free-to-air channels, alongside a permanent archive of content from nine channels including BBC1, BBC2, BBC4 and ITV
- The ability to preview and save clips
- Detailed citation data
How will it help my learning and teaching?:
You'll be able to:
- Access international language television and radio programmes
- Access programmes on specific subject matter and create your own programme playlists
- Use the television and radio archives as sources of information in your research

How to access BoB:
To access this resource, go to the BoB homepage, and select 'University of Leeds' as your home institution to log in.
When you use BoB for the first time, you will be asked to register with your University credentials and verify by clicking on an emailed link.
BoB is intuitive and easy to use. If you need help navigating the platform, you can access several short videos to assist with everything from searching for content to creating your own playlists or clips.
There are some restrictions on the use of BoB, including making copies of video/audio content and using the programmes for non-educational or for commercial use. Full terms and conditions are available on the BoB website.
