There is an issue in Panopto where some migrated content is missing video streams.

An essential 30-minute maintenance window is taking place on Thursday 17th September between 09:30 and 10:00 am (BST). During this time, staff and students may experience a short interruption of up to 5 minutes when they are unable to log in.

Staff and students may notice some notifications for old modules appearing in the Activity Stream (for 3, 4 and 8 September). Links to Panopto lecture capture recordings (migrated from our old lecture capture system) were added to historic modules which unfortunately exposed a bug with the Activity Stream, causing various notifications to be re-issued.

Collaborate is no longer available for staff and students at the University to use.

We are aware of intermittent issues affecting some Minerva data feeds. Sometimes, updates to staff and student enrolments may not be processed as expected. Minerva account creation is unaffected.

After essential overnight maintenance, users may have experienced temporary issues accessing files and images in Minerva between 05:00am and 09:30am (BST) on Monday 20 July.

Minerva will be unavailable on Monday, 20 July from 3:00am to 5:00am (BST) due to essential maintenance.

Staff posting grades to Minerva from Gradescope are seeing an error message

There is an intermittent issue where grades are being posted to gradebook from Turnitin Feedback Studio before the feedback release dates.

Our supplier has reported that Turnitin is affected by a service degradation which may be affecting some users accessing Turnitin.

Turnitin will undergo a four hour maintenance period from 16.00pm to 20:00 GMT on Saturday 7 March 2026.

Remote recorder connectivity has been restored and recordings are processing.

We have detected an issue with our remote recorders, meaning that some lecture capture recordings might not process.

An issue impacting the option to send Minerva Messages has now been resolved.

There is a known issue affecting students attempting to download their digital receipt on Turnitin.

The Athena platform will be updated on Thursday 19th February 2026 from 09:30 to 10:30 to deploy a supplier recommended change to the configuration.

Panopto noticed errors when users were attempting to access Panopto between 12:40 and 13:00.

The issue with third-party tools in Minerva not loading was caused by global internet issues (AWS - Amazon Web Services). Our supplier for Minerva reports we were affected from 8:10AM - 10:25AM. However, systems are still being monitored until we are confident the issues are fully resolved.

There is currently a global issue impacting access to third-party integrated tools within Minerva.
