As previously shared in June 2025, as part of our work to ensure that the University’s digital ecosystem is fit for purpose, Collaborate is no longer available for staff and students at the University to use.

Collaborate moved to read-only access in July 2025, at which point we have supported staff with:

  • moving virtual classroom teaching sessions to Microsoft Teams
  • retaining Collaborate recordings they wished to keep.

How does this affect me?

After the 31st July 2026 you will no longer be able to use Collaborate to access and view any recordings and it will no longer be available in the Details & Actions section of your module.

Support and guidance

Microsoft Teams is the University's virtual classroom platform. Guidance on using Microsoft Team for teaching is available for staff who want to use a virtual classroom for their modules.
