IT Help and Support over the holiday period
The University, and the IT Service Desk, will be closed between Wednesday 24 December 2025 and Sunday 4 January 2026 (inclusive). All digital education systems will be monitored during this period to ensure service delivery.
What to do if you need help
It will be possible to log requests with the IT Service Desk, which will be looked at when the University reopens on Monday 5 January 2026. You will need to be logged in to the IT website to submit requests.
You can visit the IT website for self-help, tips and information, to log that something is broken, or to request equipment or software, and you can also use IT’s chatbot, Falco. Phone support will be available from IT Service Desk staff between 8am and 5pm on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 December and a basic out-of-hours phone service available 24/7 outside these times. The support telephone number is 0113 343 3333.
