Improved Accessibility Features in Minerva

The latest Minerva update brings improved support for device accessibility settings, now recognising reduced motion settings for Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android devices.

Minerva uses several animated elements such as a swipe animation when side panels open and close which can cause accessibility issues for some users. These panels will now snap into place without animation when global device settings are enabled.

These settings can be enabled directly on your device:

  • iOS: Accessibility > Motion > Reduce motion (on)
  • Android: Settings > Accessibility > Remove Animations (on)
  • Windows: Settings > Accessibility > Visual effects > Animation effects (off)
  • Mac OS: System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce motion (on)
