How to use the Vevox Spin the Wheel

What is Spin the Wheel?

Spin the Wheel is Vevox’s virtual spinning wheel. It can be used as a randomiser tool to help you make decisions, announce winners, or select actions during classes, training, or meetings.

The wheel is divided into customisable segments, each representing a different outcome (e.g., a prize, a name, or an idea). Once you hit Spin, the wheel turns, slows, and lands on a random segment. Once a segment has been selected it can be removed from the wheel and the wheel can be spun again.

How to set up Spin the Wheel

You can add a Spin the Wheel to an existing session or a new session. For more information on creating a Vevox Session see guide, Create and Share a Vevox Poll

  1. Navigate to your Vevox Session that you want to add the Wheel to.
  2. Select the + Add Content button.
  3. Select Spin the Wheel from the Non-polling content section.
  4. Add your title or statement.
  5. Enter your list of items — such as names, actions, or topics. Use the three dots beside each item to edit, move, duplicate or delete them.
  6. Select Create. Your wheel will appear in the dashboard, ready to present.

Display Spin the Wheel

Open Present View to start the poll and once you have reached your Wheel:

  1. Select Spin and wait for the wheel to stop.
  2. Once a winner is selected, you can:
    • select to Remove it and spin again,
    • or you can select Close, reset the wheel or move on to the next poll.
