What is Vevox?
Vevox is the University of Leeds Institutional Polling Tool. Vevox is an engagement tool that enhances online, hybrid, and face-to-face sessions with options for Polling, Questions and Surveys.
Polls – these are the questions you are asking your audience, participants or students. Polls are normally asked in a live environment, whether it is a live event with participants together, in a room/venue or through live online meetings and classes.
Questions - this is when the audience, participants, or students ask questions to the host. This can happen in the Q&A board (Question & Answer Board).
Surveys – when questions are asked to the audience, participants, or students where they can answer the questions asynchronously. It does not have to be a live interaction. Participants or students can answer these questions after the session, or during a session at their own pace.
Within polls and surveys you can use a variety of question types, for more information on available question types on Vevox, see Vevox Poll Types guide.
You can present polls, quizzes and results through a web browser. Students can participate using a web browser, or the Vevox app, on their own devices.
