What student activity data is visible in relation to assessments set up in Minerva - Staff Guide

Staff have access to Progress Tracking which is enabled in all Minerva modules by default. This can help you understand what content is being interacted with on your module.

  • Via Progress Tracking you can also see what content a specific student has accessed, and the last time they accessed it.
  • For Turnitin, Blackboard Test, Blackboard Assignments, Gradescope and PebblePad assessments, you can also see when it was submitted.

Progress Tracking data cannot confirm a student’s intent to submit to an assessment, it can only show they were looking at the assessment and key interactions. However, this contextual information can be used alongside a student’s report of technical issues/screenshots of errors to help you understand their experience and may be supportive of the individual’s narrative.

If you need access to historical data, please submit a request via the IT website and we will see if we can help. Again, this data cannot confirm a student’s intent to submit.
