Older technology used to link to Mediasite content from within Minerva modules/organisations 2021/22 and older, will no longer be supported by Anthology (the vendor of Minerva) from the 30th of June 2024.

What could this mean for me?

If you want to access a Mediasite recording in a 2021/22 (or older) Minerva module/organisation, the link may no longer work.

If you login to Minerva and try to access older Mediasite recordings, you should see a message advising you that the link will not work, and what to do to request access.

I need access to a recording in an older module, what can I do?

If you need to access a recording in a Minerva module/organisation from 2021/22 or older and the link in Minerva does not work, please create a support ticket via the IT website:

  • Login to the IT website
  • Search for ‘Something broken?’ to find the form you need to complete.
  • Complete the form, including the following information:
    • In the short description field enter: Need access to a Mediasite recording in an older module/organisation
    • In the describe your issue field enter: The name of the recording you need access to and the module code the link was displayed in.

A member of the IT support team will then arrange for you to be provided with a new link to the Mediasite recording.

Will owners of recordings still have access?

Owners of the recordings will still see the recordings as usual when they log into their Mediasite account. Owners can opt to share older recording with users by generating a new share link as required.
