We’re pleased to announce that our supplier has introduced significant updates to Minerva Documents, providing enhanced options for content design and interactivity.

The updates include:

Improved content block layout

Previously, staff could only add content blocks in rows. Now, you can add columns as well, with the ability to resize and move blocks for greater flexibility.

Knowledge checks

You can now insert knowledge checks directly into documents. These multiple-choice or multiple-answer questions help assess student understanding, providing instant feedback to students. Staff will also have access to detailed engagement metrics.

Convert a file

With the new Convert a file feature, you can upload files which will be converted into editable document blocks, streamlining the content creation process. Supported file types are: PDF, PowerPoint (ppt, pptx, pps), and Word (doc, docx, odt).

AI generation of Question Banks

With this update, it is no longer possible to generate Question Banks directly from the Document. However, you can create Question Banks using AI directly in the Question Banks interface. When generating questions, you can use 'select module items' to reference any Document in your module.

See our guide on the AI Design Assistant for more information.

Further information

These updates are available now and will be visible when creating or editing documents. Existing content remains largely unaffected by these changes although you may notice a difference in sizing of content e.g. images.
