Mediasite has moved to read-only
Mediasite moved to read-only on the 15th June. This is part of the wider rollout of Panopto, which began on 22nd May and is converting recorders in 300+ teaching spaces at a rate of around 40 rooms a week. The rollout is due to be completed by 31st July. Communications around the project have been cascaded via DSEs, target emails to room users and other targeted communication, including notices in Lecture spaces.

What this means for you
- From June 15th, you will be able to access Mediasite and watch recordings, but you won't be able to create new videos.
- You can continue to use teaching spaces as normal during this time. If you require teaching to be recorded and the desktop light does not illuminate at the start of your session, please follow our guide on Panopto Personal Capture.
- If the Desktop light works as normal, the recording may be located in a new Panopto Folder in your Minerva Module.
Minimising disruption
- All room work is scheduled outside of teaching wherever possible.
- Each room is closed for one day during its conversion, scheduled outside teaching hours wherever possible.
- In-room signage will be available, and a targeted email will be sent if you are timetabled in an affected room.
- Once a room's Panopto recorder is live, recording works as before.
