Turnitin: Service Outage 19 May 2026
What's happening?
Turnitin have reported an unexpected service incident.
Who is it affecting?
Staff and students trying to access Turnitin via Minerva may be unable to access assignments.
What are we doing about it?
We are working with our vendor to investigate and resolve the issue. We will provide an update once this has been resolved. We appreciate this is a key assessment period and we are working on fixing this as the highest priority.
How can I keep updated on this issue?
- We will post an update on this site when we have an update, or the issue is resolved.
- We will send an email to the DESystems-Info Mailing List and post on the Digital Education Systems Bluesky account.
- We will also post a Systems Update in the Digital Education Network (DEN). Staff who are not members can request to join the Digital Education Network.
- The IT website Service Status page also lists known issues and major incidents across key University systems. If you are affected by any of the issues, you can log in and click the 'I’m affected' button so you are kept informed of any change to the status.
