Using PebblePad for learning - Student Guide

Your Tutors may include PebblePad projects in your Minerva Modules.  They may either create a structured Resource that scaffolds your work or they may ask you to initiate your own PebblePad creation, choosing from a range of Asset types. Find out more about the difference between Resources and Assets.

Working from a Structured Resource

If your Tutor creates a Resource for you to work from, this will act as a scaffold, containing exercises and sections for you to complete. You will find the Resource in your Resource Store or you will be given a direct link via your Minerva Module. Once you save the Resource for the first time, it will become your own personal Asset, recording your personal edits. A structured Resource is usually set-up by your Tutor to auto-submit, meaning you will only need to save your work for it to be automatically received by your Tutor.

Initiating your Own PebblePad Asset

Instead of providing you with a structured Resource, sometimes your Tutor may ask you to create your own PebblePad project from scratch. There are a range of Asset types you can work with and your Tutor may ask you to choose or will specify which type of Asset they require. Find out more about creating the different types of Asset.

Submitting PebblePad Assignments

Some PebblePad projects for learning will be used for your personal interaction only but others may be set-up by your Tutor for assessment. Find out more about how to submit your PebblePad project for assessment.

Sharing your work with an External Assessor

On some courses, you will need to share your work with an external assesor.  Find out the different ways to share work with an external assessor.

How do I see comments and feedback on my Assets?

You can see comments and feedback added to an Asset in PebblePad. Feedback and comments allow others to engage with your Assets and could be added as part of a formal assessment process. You can find step-by-step instructions on seeing comments and feedback on an Asset.
