Grading Minerva Discussions - Staff Guide

It is possible to grade Discussion posts - staff are able to set a participation due date after which any student posts will be flagged as late when grading. To prevent late participation, select the 'Stop discussion activity after due date' which will prevent students from replying to or editing posts once the due date has passed.  Grades are based on each student's total contributions, not each individual post. It is also possible to create Discussion groups and grade their contributions.

You can choose between points, a percentage or letter and specify the maximum points possible for the graded Discussion. You can also create or add an existing rubric so students can view the requirements of the graded work.
