Create Assignments or Lessons in Möbius - Staff Guide

To be able to add Möbius lessons or assignments to your Minerva module, the Möbius Pilot link must already have been added to your module. If you cannot see the Möbius Pilot link in your module, please first follow the steps outlined in Add Möbius to your Minerva module.

1. Log into Minerva and open your module.

2. Click the Möbius Pilot link in the Module Content area. If you cannot find it, check that it has not been given a new title by colleagues on your module team.

3. Select Content Repository from the top navigation bar displayed on the Möbius page displayed on screen.

4. From the Lessons & Assignments section select the Unit folder you wish to place the content inside. You also have the option of creating a new unit folder.

5. From within the Unit section, towards the bottom of the page, click Create New, this will open a menu, choose the type of content you would like to create:

• Lesson: interactive question content for students to learn.
• Assignment: questions to assess students' understanding (graded work).
• Adaptive Assignment: a type of branched assessment.

For Assignments

6. Enter a Name and Description for the assignment.

7. Click the Select Questions tab within the Möbius page. Add the question or content you have created by selecting Import Question.

8. The Import options will be displayed, questions will be saved in the Questions section with the name given when they were created. Select a question, by checking the tick box to the left of the question and click Import.

9. Enter a points value for the question.

9. Select the Properties tab within the Möbius page and set this as required. For guidance on these options, please refer to define assignment properties on the Mobius support site.

10. Select Save & Close when you have finished.

An Academic Integrity summary needs to be added on all links to summative assessments regardless of the tool being used to deliver the assessment. See the Academic Integrity Summary guide for guidance on how to add this and the text you need to include.

For Lessons

6. Enter a Name for the lesson.

7. Under the Navigation pane, click the small down arrow to the right of Page to choose which option you would like to use. For guidance on these options please refer to Create a lesson on the Mobius support site.

8. Select the Properties tab within the Möbius page and set this as required. For guidance on these options, please refer to define assignment properties on the Mobius support site.

9. Select Save & Close when you have finished setting up.
