Academic personal tutoring (APT) is at the heart of LeedsforLife (the University's commitment to helping students make the most of their time at Leeds), helping students maximise their success and ensuring they feel they belong as a member of the vibrant academic community here at Leeds.

The new LeedsforLife systems - PebblePad, StREAM@Leeds and Microsoft Bookings with me - will support you in your role as an APT. If you are looking for specific guidance, you may find the A to Z of LeedsforLife APT guides helpful, don't forget you can also search this site for the guidance you are looking for.

New to PebblePad or used it before? Why not take five minutes to watch this screencast to see the enhancements we’ve made, based on APT feedback, as well as a step-by-step walk through of the things you need to know to get started with PebblePad. Watch screencast.

You can then decide what additional training or support you might benefit from - either further step-by-step written guidance and videos to explore at your own pace or you could attend online training delivered by the Digital Education Systems team.

New to the university? Log-in to PebblePad as soon as you can.  This will instantly create your PebblePad account.  Once this is created, your tutee allocations on PebblePad will shortly follow.  See the instructions on how to log-in, and then how to navigate PebblePad once your tutee allocations have been set-up.

You can work through these written guides and videos for the LeedsforLife systems in your own time and at your own pace. You can also use them as a reference point as you begin to use the systems with your tutees.

PebblePad

Hosts students’ LeedsforLife workbook. Academic personal tutors have access to each of their tutees’ workbooks. Tutees and tutors will use the “My APT” section to prepare, deliver and reflect on their APT meetings.


StREAM@Leeds

The university’s Learning Analytics tool. In StREAM tutors can access a profile of their tutees including their programme details, photograph and ratified module marks in addition to the student engagement information.


Microsoft Bookings with me

An upgrade to Microsoft Personal Bookings, now called Microsoft Bookings with me supports tutors to arrange and manage their tutee meetings.
